My art is born out of a deep love of the natural world. As a child raised camping, hiking and exploring the environment of N, California I began the love affair. Visually expressing that profound appreciation for nature followed through drawing and painting. As a young adult  in college I studied natural science and furthered my interests in birds, plants and ecosystems, along with the study of scientific illustration and photography. 
    After many years, in a very satisfying career, I have been able to return to that first love of nature and once again express it. My paintings, many of which are landscapes, try and reflect the beauty I see around me. The incredible patterns, forms and colors of the natural world are my inspiration as well as my challenge. I attempt to transport you, the viewer, to a place which you will not only see but also feel, in your heart.
