Please join me at Coconino Center for the Arts on January 18, 6–8 PM for The Golden Mean opening reception featuring a live and online art auction! I have work included in this unique fundraiser exhibition that supports both CCA and local artists. The show showcases works by over 60 talented regional artists, all inspired by the Golden Ratio. Bidding levels follow the Fibonacci Sequence, with artists receiving an increased percentage with each higher bid. Please consider making an initial bid on my artwork, or there is also a "buy now" option in-person at the opening reception. Visit coconinoarts.org/golden-mean for bidding details and artwork previews. Thank you for supporting the Arts!"

Currently I am happily set up, and painting away in our home of 4 years here in the beautiful Verde Valley of Arizona. Can't believe so much time has already passed. We are still loving the change of seasons and life in a small town. Have spent some time exploring the wonders of AZ: the Tonto Bridge and Rim, Walnut Canyon, Tuzigoot, Montezuma's Well and Castle, Dead Horse State Park, just a few to mention. I continue to be astounded at the diversity of landscape, plants, birds, geographic features as well as the hospitality of the people I meet. The big sky and expansiveness is very inspiring to me as an artist as well as the constant changes. I am in awe of the variety of cloudscapes and shifting light. Eye candy for me every day! My work reflects the natural beauty that surrounds me and there is no shortage of material to engage me. When you are in the Verde Valley or nearby Sedona stop in and visit me in my studio where you can see my work in person. Send me an email and we can schedule a time.

Although we are no longer residing in San Diego,I will have a few select paintings at the new Ocean Avenue gift shop which opens in May at the revitalized and charming Seaport Village. Jeana Chavez, who is also responsible for the popular, nostalgic sweet shop, Stay Sweet San Diego in Seaport Village is branching out. She is a successful San Diego entrepreneur who will be featuring in her new shop locally created art and gift specialties. I am very proud to say she is a talented artist in her own right and a former student from my teaching days in the South Bay.
